Dear Parent and Athlete,
We are very excited for the upcoming cross country season! A few things to cover:
FOOD $25.00/athlete
We have parents bring food items for the meets, the cost is $25.00/athlete for the season. If you bring the food for a meet turn in the receipt to either Coach Shope, Coach Wujek and you will get you reimbursed from our booster club (Frisco Runner’s Club)
This usually consist of cleaned fruit, cartons of chocolate milk, granola mix, trail mix, etc… spend around $125.00. Please email if me if you would be interested in helping. Checks are made out to Frisco Runner’s Club. Send the check by August 21st if you would like your child to have food at the meet.

· Once school starts the practice schedule will be on the website. If we are off campus we will have a bus to bring the athletes back. Students may not ride with other students!!! If your daughter is not in athletics that particular day you will need to provide their ride to school.
· You may want to invest in racing flats or spikes (Luke’s Locker or Run On) These are much lighter than the shoes they will train in so it helps them run a faster time while competing in a race.
· Send them with a water bottle every day. Hydration is a must every day, not just during practice!!
· Encourage them that they must eat a light breakfast before practice and more after practice. They will not be successful and make it through practice without fueling their body.
· Eat healthy; lots of fruit, veggies, dairy, chicken, fish
· Rest. 8-9 hours of sleep each night
· Stay up on your homework; time management is important (if you fall behind set-up your tutorials after school)
